One of the most important aspects of a criminal case is sentencing. Unfortunately, most lawyers just show up the day of sentencing a give the same old speech to the judge. I always try to do everything I can to convince a judge that my client shouldn’t do a bunch of time. This involves gathering all the good information about you that I can about you to present to the judge. And lots of times it is appropriate to ask for a sentencing hearing where witnesses can be called on your behalf and where there is an opportunity to present everything thing that is good about you. It is best to avoid lawyers who claim they have won a certain number of cases. They imply that they have taken the cases to trial but they consider a win a decent plea bargain.

Who is Bob Murray?
My name is Robert Louis Murray. I was born at home in Tucson’s Barrio
Viejo on South Meyer Avenue. In those days the Jerry Lee Ho Market was
next door and next to that was a cimmarona (snow cone) stand. I attended
Pueblo High School, obtained an undergraduate degree at the University
of Arizona and my Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona law
school. I had humble beginnings in downtown Tucson and the South side
of town. My mother began working at Le Cave’s bakery at 15 years old
and later as a waitress at the Old El Charro restaurant. My father dug
basements in San Clemente, laid bricks in Broadway Village and worked
for the railroad for 40 years. Thanks to them, I learned that everybody
deserves my best legal efforts, compassion and understanding.
You won’t see my name or face plastered on a City bus, a bill board or a bus
bench. You won’t see me on TV with an animal mascot, advertising
discount fees on personal injury cases or promising you a check. The
reason is because all of that advertising costs huge sums of money and
in order to pay for that a lawyer has to have lots and lots of clients
and their cases have to be turned over in a hurry. The result, based on
what I’ve been told by many people, is that by the time the lawyer gets
his fees and the medical bills are paid, the injured person receives the
